In order to make vocabulary stronger, we did a class pool to learn more about classroom preferences (as you can see in the picture). Students wrote their preferences on the small board before showing and say it aloud. We found out that 2A doesn’t like cauliflower and 2S loves grilled cheese sandwiches!
Kindergarten was excited to sing our spring concert song, which talks about the Coquí - a small frog from Puerto Rico. One Coquí came to class all the way from Puerto Rico - he moves around the classroom at night and it’s always fun to see where he is the next day. In addition to learning the vocabulary of our song, students learned about Puerto Rico. They now know where Puerto Rico is on the map, some important places to visit, the flag - they even played their instruments! We look forward to knowing more about the song and getting ready for our concert.
